Ruma National Park
Ruma National Park is a small, rarely visited national park on the west of Kenya, close to Homa Bay and the shores of Lake Victoria. At only 120 sq.km in size it is a protected park for both Black and White Rhino and is also home to the Roan Antelope and tiny Oribi. It is also a haven for a huge amount of bird life.
***********
It has a well maintained KWS campsite with stunning views for sunset and the scenery all around this park is beautiful, comprising of the Kanyamwa Escarpment to the South-East, and the Volcanic plugs of the Ruri Hills to the North.
Last time we camped and did game drives here we had the whole park to ourselves on both days!
It’s perfect for laid back travellers looking for a peaceful park to watch the wildlife and bird life.
